Space Refugee is a sculpture which tells the story of a father and his daugther who can travel in time and space using a huge magic lollipop while riding a big skippy ball.

It's an adventure of a survivor of torture and war who managed to turn his trauma into a superpower with the essential help of his 7-year old little girl. The story of Omar Imam is very personal, but it's also a tribute to all the fathers who are carrying their children on their backs and escape war. It's for all the survivors.

Despite missing a wing, legs, arms always carry on positively in life. The bronze colour represents the harsh reality of daily life.The Angel and wing in gold shines and continues with everything.

3D version, size without wing 124 x 74 cm

Bartosz Banasik made this Angel at the client's request. The form is inspired by the work of the great Catalan sculptor Josep Limona.
